Patzcuaro is an interesting place. Much less developed than SMA, fewer gringos, and less of everything that goes with us. The Purepecha Indians are the indigenous population. Each day they hang out around the Plaza. There is also a huge market which is interesting. Near by is the copper making community of Santa Clara del Cobre. It is a nice day visit. Around the huge Lake Patzcuaro are other villages that specialize in different crafts.
